Fallout 76’s recent update allowing players to become ghouls has unfortunately been accompanied by a major bug. Players have taken to forums explaining their frustrations, with one user stating:

“My progress is stuck with no way forward.”

Players report being rendered unable to complete the ghoul quest after being disconnected during character customization, leading to an endless cycle of disconnection upon attempting to rejoin.

The mission requires players to inhale a gas and pass out from radiation, but for some, the game triggers them to be already considered ghouls, rendering them unable to complete the task. “PLEASE let people see this. This is a massive issue, and until something happens, my progress is stuck with no way forward,” another player commented.

As the community voices concerns, many are hopeful the developers will address this glitch quickly so players can enjoy the new features without disruption.
