Valorant is a game that continuously evolves, with Riot Games pushing regular updates that introduce new mechanics and cosmetic features. However, players have recently expressed concerns about the amount of visual clutter caused by various abilities within matches.
Many players feel that abundant utility effects overwhelm the screen, making it difficult to focus on gameplay.
Sayf, a competitive player and captain of Team Vitality, commented on X: “Valorant promised that gunfights would decide outcomes, but I often feel overwhelmed by the utility usage. Good luck seeing your screen some rounds.”
In response to these concerns, Dan Hardison, the live balance lead for Valorant, stated that the balance team shares these views and is looking into ways to address the issue without compromising the game’s identity. He remarked, “We’re investigating ways to make this better but we’re too early to commit to any details or specifics.”
As Valorant maintains a steady player base, balancing the visual effects with gameplay clarity remains a priority for Riot.
