Fntastic Takes Legal Action Against Russian Outlet for Calling 'The Day Before' a Scam

Fntastic, the studio behind the troubled game 'The Day Before', sues a Russia-based website for allegedly damaging its reputation by labeling it a 'scam'.

Fntastic, the developer of the game The Day Before, has initiated legal proceedings against the Russian site Yakutia.info for alleging that its actions related to the game’s development amount to a “scam.”

The lawsuit asserts that the website has harmed Fntastic’s public image in the region, especially as it pertains to their development practices around The Day Before. The outlet allegedly published content that caused reputational damage, referencing articles that discussed claims made by influencers regarding the game’s development being derivative of other titles.

Yakutia.info has since attempted to clarify its position by changing its language from “scam” to “embarrassment” regarding Fntastic’s performance. This situation arises against a backdrop where Fntastic is already facing backlash over the scrutiny of its game development practices.
