Significant Balance Updates Coming to Heroes of the Storm in March 2025

The upcoming patch for Heroes of the Storm introduces key hero balance adjustments and important tweaks to the draft mode.

Heroes of the Storm Patch Notes - March 12, 2025

NOTE: Italicized text indicates a change between PTR and Live notes.

General

  • Updated Homescreen and Startup Music.
  • Updated Shop Bundles and Items.

Draft Changes

  • The first round pick timer is now 25 seconds instead of 40 seconds.
  • Hero Ban timer has been cut down from 24 seconds to 15 seconds.
  • The Hero Pick timer will also be reduced to 15 seconds from 24.

Balance Updates

Heroes

  • Auriel:
    • Bestow Hope [Trait]: Energy storage reduced from 50% to 40% of damage to non-Heroes.
  • Dehaka:
    • Dark Swarm [W]: Damage reduced from 52 to 48.
    • Feeding Frenzy has been reworked; cooldown reduction starts at 1.5 seconds.
  • Greymane:
    • Wolfheart: Revised to also enhance Armor when in Worgen form.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed various visual and gameplay issues affecting multiple heroes and maps.

This patch is expected to contribute to balancing the ongoing changes within the game as Blizzard works towards improving the gaming experience for all players. The next significant update is anticipated to coincide with the ten-year anniversary of Heroes of the Storm, which takes place on June 2, 2025.
