Final Update Goes Live for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

The last update for the troubled game is now operational, featuring new content and an offline mode.

The saga of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League comes to a close with the introduction of its final update, now available on Steam. Known as Episode 8: Balance, this update brings an Infamy Set themed after the villain Libra, alongside new exotic weapons and a climactic mission versus Brainiac.

The update’s standout feature is an offline mode that allows players to engage with the entire story campaign and seasonal content without a constant internet connection. This feature was particularly longed for, as the game originally launched lacking this option.

When it was released, Suicide Squad faced mixed reactions, with many players noting that it didn’t fully meet their expectations. According to Morgan Park from PC Gamer, the game had “flashes of greatness” but was undermined by an underwhelming story, uninteresting loot, and excessive grind to access more engaging content. Following its disappointing sales, Warner Bros. acknowledged that the game’s performance fell short of their forecasts.

Warner Bros. also confirmed their commitment to complete the announced content roadmap for Suicide Squad, emphasizing that there would be no further updates post-December 2024. Fortunately, online features will remain available, allowing friends to continue battling foes together even after this update.

Combat continues as players navigate through the game world with their friends in the aftermath of this final update.
