AMD Assures Gamers Not to Worry About Prices for New GPUs
AMD emphasizes its commitment to maintain MSRP pricing for the new RX 9070 graphics cards as they hit the market.
AMD’s graphics representative, Frank Azor, has urged gamers not to panic regarding the pricing of their newly released Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT GPUs. He reassured that the company is collaborating with AIBs (Add-In Board partners) to ensure that stock is replenished and that MSRP pricing will be continuously promoted.
“Demand for our new @amdradeon cards has been phenomenal. We are working with our AIBs to replenish stock at our partners ASAP in the coming days and weeks. MSRP pricing (excluding region specific tariffs and/or taxes) will continue to be encouraged beyond today so don’t…”
Additionally, the RX 9070 and 9070 XT GPUs were just released yesterday, and unlike the previous launch of NVIDIA’s RTX 5070, several units were available at MSRP, which quickly sold out. However, some stock was still available at the suggested price points.
Azor’s comments are particularly relevant as current demand has resulted in these GPUs being unavailable at major retailers such as Best Buy and Newegg.
Despite attaining some stock, speculation arises over the legitimacy of the MSRP prices, leading to discussions about AMD potentially providing retailers with rebates to meet the suggested pricing levels. The consensus appears to be that the AMD GPUs present a strong offering in comparison to NVIDIA’s line, especially given recent tariff impacts on hardware prices.
