Epic Games Takes Action Against Fortnite Account Fraudster

Epic Games is pursuing legal action against an Illinois resident for allegedly stealing and selling Fortnite accounts.

Epic Games has initiated legal proceedings against a man from Illinois, Isaac Strock, for allegedly stealing and reselling hundreds of Fortnite accounts through Telegram.

The suit, filed on February 27, claims that Strock used deceptive methods to gain access to Epic accounts and even sold a guide on how to trick the support team. Epic’s filing indicates that “Strock takes control of other players’ Epic Games accounts through fraud,” and has attempted to mislead Epic’s support team multiple times.

In particular, Strock reportedly sold an account with 146 skins and V-Bucks for around $425 in Bitcoin. His fraudulent methods are highlighted in an anti-cheat update released by Epic, which was linked to the lawsuit.

Epic’s efforts to combat such fraud are ongoing, with a focus on transparency to inform its player base about the measures being taken. Strock has yet to respond to the allegations.
