Ubisoft has revealed the preload and unlock times for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, reassuring fans of no last-minute delays.
Preload Times
- Xbox Series X/S: Preloading available now.
- PC: Begins at 4 PM UTC (8 AM PT / 11 AM ET) on March 17, three days before the game’s release on March 20.
- PS5: Available from 12 AM local time on March 18.
Unlock Times

Console versions will unlock at midnight local time.

Steam versions will unlock globally at 9 PM PT on March 19, coinciding with the console launch at 12 AM ET on March 20.

If purchasing directly from Ubisoft, the PC edition unlocks simultaneously with Steam in the Americas, but six hours earlier in Europe, and four hours earlier in Asia and Australia.
This launch is particularly noteworthy as there will be no early unlocks or special access for preorders, despite an earlier plan for a three-day early access window that was dropped due to delays.
