Lenovo has introduced an innovative laptop that harnesses solar power, converting just 20 minutes of sunlight into one hour of video playback. However, it is currently positioned as a prototype and has not yet reached full production status.
This solar-powered laptop, known as the Lenovo Yoga Solar PC, is complemented by a USB Type-C solar charging kit.
Despite its impressive specifications, including a 14-inch OLED display and an Intel Core Ultra CPU, this device remains a concept intended for demonstration at the Mobile World Congress. Lenovo has not announced plans for eventual production.
The laptop features a solar panel that covers the entire rear of the display, boasting an energy conversion rate of 24%, which is among the highest in the industry.
Notable Features:
- Charges in direct sunlight.
- Claims to generate power even in low-light conditions.
While the concept appears promising, real-world applications and pricing details remain undisclosed.
