As of 10:05 PM Pacific Time on launch day, Wilds secured a place among the most-played games on Steam, outpacing the previous all-time peak player records of Baldur’s Gate 3 (875,343), Hogwarts Legacy (879,308), and New World (913,634) to claim the 10th position. Currently, 920,464 players are online battling their first Chatacabra (or possibly experimenting with the character creator).
Update: At 10:20 PM, Wilds moved up to 8th place, surpassing Elden Ring’s peak of 953,426 players. The next record to beat is Cyberpunk 2077, which currently has about another 100,000 players ahead.
