AMD Criticizes Intel's Arrow Lake Product and Blames it for Ryzen 7 9800X3D Shortage
AMD alleges that Intel's recent Arrow Lake CPU is underwhelming, contributing to the increased demand and subsequent shortage of its own Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
AMD is celebrating its success a bit prematurely.
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D, regarded as the best CPU for gaming, was launched recently and has seen a surge in demand leading to shortages. AMD attributes part of this demand to Intel’s less-than-stellar Arrow Lake release, stating: “We knew we built a great part. We didn’t know the competitor had built a horrible one.”

Both the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and Intel Core Ultra 5 245K were tested by PC Gamer, and they fell short of expectations.
Despite this, AMD is optimistic about the demand for its products and the possible market stabilization for the 9800X3D, which still hasn’t reached its intended market price. AMD hopes that Intel can recover from its recent struggles soon, so the best CPUs become more accessible for consumers.
