A prominent Fortnite leaker has given fans their first look at an unreleased handcuff cosmetic that may have been scrapped at some point during development. Fortnite has a long history of introducing innovative cosmetics, especially when collaborating with other properties. Unfortunately, some interesting concepts are inevitably abandoned along the way.

Epic Games has just released Chapter 6 Season 2 of Fortnite, providing players with a wealth of fresh content to explore. The developers have managed to revamp the battle royale experience with new locations, weapons, and unique mechanics unique to the season, such as the ability to use explosives to break into bank vaults for weapons and currency.

In a recent post on Twitter, the dataminer ShiinaBR shared six concepts of an unreleased handcuff cosmetic type that may see the light of day in the future. However, as there is currently no mechanic using handcuffs in the game, it is possible the project was abandoned. Fans have pointed out the similarities between these cuffs and the unreleased weapon charms, which also likely succumbed to the same fate. It’s not uncommon for early concepts to find their way into the game’s files but ultimately be discarded later.

Interestingly, some cosmetic types debut without leaks, which was the case with Fortnite’s newly released Moments. These allow players to listen to original or licensed music during gameplay, offering a fresh way to enjoy the experience. Despite some hiccups in the cosmetic department, excitement remains high as players dive into Chapter 6 Season 2.
