Changelog ASMR.
While many might not require additional motivation to delve into patch notes, I, an enthusiastic bug-fix aficionado, truly appreciate the effort that Supergiant Games has taken. Instead of simply releasing the update’s extensive changelog via Steam, the studio invited Logan Cunningham, the voice behind Hades 2’s narration, to present 27 minutes of new features and adjustments in a soothing manner.
This patch introduces an array of exciting additions: players can now journey beyond Olympus to confront challenges at the peak of the mythical mountain. The update also introduces Ares, the Greek god of war, to the game. Engaging fully with Ares allows players to access his boons, further enriched by a complete overhaul of the existing boon system with contributions from various Olympians.
In addition, players will encounter a new animal companion to assist during battles. The gathering of resources has also seen improvements, and the menus have been enhanced with better animations. This dramatic and immersive experience aims to elevate gameplay, inviting players to engage with many different game characters.
In a recent Steam announcement, Supergiant shared that they are already developing a third major update, set to release in a few months. They teased three key initiatives, which include “Hidden Aspects” and “Enhanced Guardians,” while continuing to prepare for a future 1.0 launch of Hades 2. The specific release timeline remains unconfirmed, but speculation suggests it may arrive before this year ends.
Hades 2 continues to be an excellent gaming experience, and this update only promises to enhance the enjoyment of players.
