Delta Force Developer Focuses on Gameplay Over Military Politics

The Chinese developer behind Delta Force emphasizes their goal of delivering enjoyable gameplay rather than making political statements regarding the U.S. military.

Delta Force offers a unique perspective as a Chinese-developed game about the American military, set during the Somali civil war, specifically modeled after the Battle of Mogadishu.

In a recent demo of the game, Wes Fenlon from PCGamer interacted with the developers about their narrative stance regarding the American military. Game Director Shadow Guo stated, “We don’t have an opinion in this regard” (translation: “We have no stance on the American military”).

Guo affirmed, “First and foremost, we are a game company. We aim to create fun and meaningful gameplay” (translation: “Our primary goal is to ensure an enjoyable gaming experience”).

This reaction aligns with the typical corporate statements from major game producers like Activision, often seeking to engage a vast audience without offending.
