Is it too early for a rework?

There are underperforming heroes in Marvel Rivals, and then there’s Black Widow. According to NetEase’s official Hero Hot List updated for Marvel Rivals season 1, the scoped sniper is the least popular choice and the lowest winning hero.

Black Widow has a pitiful pick rate, only managing 0.47% on consoles and 0.89% on PC in Competitive mode, a slight increase to 1.71% and 2.76% respectively in the less serious Quickplay mode.

Even Black Widow mains who attain the rank of Celestial are struggling, landing only a 43.03% win rate, placing her third-worst behind Squirrel Girl and Moon Knight.

The worst news comes from her console competitive stats: just 37.54%, which is significantly lower than the competition.

What’s most alarming is that these figures come just weeks after she received buffs to her abilities. With the upcoming season 1.5 set to introduce new characters like The Thing and Human Torch, players are left wondering if Black Widow will receive another patch. NetEase has discreetly not mentioned her in a recent Dev Vision video.

As players reflect on the balancing issues surrounding high-skill heroes like Black Widow, the fear of a possible total rework looms as season 1.5 kicks off on February 21.
