New Lego Batman Memory Requirements Halved to 16 GB
The memory requirement for the upcoming Lego Batman game has been significantly reduced, sparking hope for gamers facing rising prices.
If you’re excited about Lego Batman but find the previous requirement of 32 GB of memory too steep, there’s good news. The necessary memory has been reduced to a more manageable 16 GB.
According to the Lego Batman Steam page, “As part of our ongoing testing for Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on PC, we have revised our recommended hardware specifications from 32 GB of RAM down to 16 GB of RAM.”
Both the minimum and recommended specifications now demand 16 GB, but the latest update maintains that “our PC specs at this stage are not final.”

That said, more modest requirements still don’t signal ease. Even the minimum now necessitates certain powerful components like an Nvidia RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, plus an Intel Core i5 9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, alongside an SSD.
To meet recommended settings, expect to need at least an Nvidia RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, complemented by an Intel Core i7 12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, in addition to the essential 16 GB memory.
This change is timely amidst a continuing memory crisis that is elevating prices for components. Currently, 32 GB memory kits from various manufacturers are priced well over $400, and even 16 GB DDR5 kits are nearing the $200 mark.
We’re hopeful that as this memory crisis unfolds, more games might follow suit with potential reductions in system requirements.
