Valve Insiders Reject Claims About Half-Life 3's Completion

Valve veteran Chet Faliszek dismisses rumors regarding Half-Life 3's alleged completion, stating the game is still in development.

Chet Faliszek, a former writer at Valve, has expressed skepticism towards recent rumors claiming that Half-Life 3 is secretly completed and that the development team has moved on to other projects. He humorously noted in a recent YouTube video that such assertions are far from reality. In his words, “They’ve been done for months! They just sit on the game! They’re just relaxing!”

Translation: “They have completed it for months! They are just waiting! They are enjoying!”

Faliszek elaborated on the intense phases of game development, where the final stages often involve significant pressure to ensure quality, and not the leisure implied by the rumors. He remarked, “There’s never crunch towards the end of a project, there’s never a rush, there’s never a scramble to try to fix all the bugs…”

The speculation surrounding Half-Life 3’s development has intensified, fueled by various hints and anniversary milestones related to the previous games in the series.
