A significant update for Highguard is set to roll out on February 6 on Steam, introducing a new character, map, mount, and competitive gameplay.

The new hero, Ekon, possesses the unique ability to transform into a direwolf, standing out from other characters who can summon phantom mounts. Developer Wildlight describes Ekon’s abilities as follows:

While in this form, Ekon’s speed is unmatched by other mounts. Through a full third-person view, the direwolf can see around cover. When attacking, Ekon uses a deadly bite before reverting to his human form.

The update also provides players with a new wolf mount, free for all.

In addition, players can explore the new map known as the fabled lost city of Skydrift, featuring floating castles and chain bridges. The new ranked mode will be available exclusively for 3v3 matches, focusing on tactical gameplay and player feedback.
