Blackheart Map Removed from Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 developer Treyarch Studios has mysteriously removed Blackheart, a beloved multiplayer map, from the game’s rotation just under two hours after Season 1 commenced. Blackheart was among the original fifteen launch maps and quickly gained popularity for its robust three-lane structure, offering balance for Assault Rifles, SMGs, LMGs, Shotguns, and Sniper Rifles throughout the matches.
December 4 marked a significant update day for Call of Duty fans, heralding the start of Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 1. This update introduced numerous new maps, weapons, modes, Operator bundles, and fully integrated the free-to-play Battle Royale title with Black Ops 7. Players grinding the latest entry since its launch on November 14 are now able to utilize their leveled-up weapons in Warzone and dive directly into the new Resurgence map, Haven’s Hollow.
Following the start of Season 1, its removal attracted mixed reactions from fans. One Reddit user expressed confusion stating, ‘Why was Blackheart taken down? It’s been fine since its introduction.’ Another tweeted, ‘What? One of the best maps?’
Despite Blackheart’s absence, Season 1 remains packed with new content, featuring three additional maps and one remastered classic since its launch. For now, players can enjoy the maps Fate, Utopia, Odysseus, or Standoff, the latter being a remaster of a classic from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
While the specifics surrounding Blackheart’s removal remain unclear, Treyarch indicated they are investigating the issue and will be reintroducing the map in an upcoming update. Fans are hopeful for a swift resolution.
