'I haven't started playing the video games, nor do I plan to': Walton Goggins of Fallout shares his thoughts
In a recent interview, Walton Goggins discussed his role in the Fallout series, revealing he has no interest in playing the video games that inspired the show.
Walton Goggins, known for playing the character Cooper Howard and his post-apocalyptic counterpart in the Fallout series, recently stated that he has no intention of engaging with the video games that the show is based on.
Goggins expressed, “I haven’t sat down to play the games, and I won’t. I’m not interested.” He mentioned that he sees his character as existing in a tangible world and does not want to view it merely as a game element.
Ella Purnell, who portrays Vault-dweller Lucy MacLean, has had some experience with the games, having played Fallout 4 during her preparation for the first season, while Aaron Moten, who plays Maximus from the Brotherhood of Steel, intends to explore the games after his work on the series is complete.
In their approach, Goggins and Moten highlight the different perspectives actors can have regarding adaptation from games to screen.
