Creative Assembly is busy with Total War: Medieval 3 and upcoming Warhammer DLC

Creative Assembly announces the development of Total War: Medieval 3 alongside new Warhammer DLC and hints at another game reveal next week.

Creative Assembly’s first sequel is set for a return to the Middle Ages with Total War: Medieval 3. This announcement follows a showcase celebrating the studio’s 25th anniversary, and fans are understandably excited.

The original Medieval 2 played a pivotal role in shaping the Total War franchise, known for its diverse armies and stunning visuals. Creative Assembly has emphasized that this upcoming title is both a tribute to the classics and represents a bold new direction for the series, claiming it will offer meticulous historical accuracy alongside unprecedented player agency.

While details remain scarce since the game is still in pre-production, Creative Assembly is making a bigger push for this title than usual, suggesting it’s more than just another sequel; they consider it a rebirth of the historical Total War experience.

Furthermore, there are additional Warhammer titles in the pipeline, including the Tides of Torment DLC, which promises to introduce new legendary lords and transformative campaign experiences. More revelations are expected on December 11 at The Game Awards.
