Devora Wilde shares her audition experience for Baldur’s Gate 3, discussing her roles, including Lae’zel, Shadowheart, and potentially Astarion.

“It was a 45-second audition for Lae’zel. I did audition for all the other characters too, I believe. I definitely auditioned for Shadowheart and Karlach… And probably Astarion? They were all sectioned into, like, races. So they had, I think the githyanki were called plane walkers.”

This audition process involved video submissions, focusing on motion capture techniques. Wilde reflects on how she was cast based on her early performance, noting that she was unaware of the character’s significance at the time.
