Mohan 'launders' Govindasamy: Revitalizing North America's LAN Scene

Canadian caster Launders shares insights on his career and future plans for eSports events in North America.

The Canadian caster discussed the path of his career and his strategies for revitalizing North America’s LAN scene.

Mohan “launders” Govindasamy actively contributes to the current Counter-Strike environment, primarily recognized for his casting alongside fellow Canadian Conner “Scrawny” Girvan. Additionally, he engages in merchandise production under the BOXR label, maintains a YouTube channel, and organizes events named after himself in Toronto, Canada.

While at the HLTV Awards in Belgrade, Serbia, HLTV’s Danish “Nohte” Allana had a long-form interview with launders, where the two discussed his work in casting, his collaboration with Scrawny, and other business ventures.

“[Since the Paris Major final], our commentary has gotten better, our relationship has gotten better, our lives have gotten more fun,” launders reflected on his recent work with Scrawny. “I’ve really enjoyed commentating on CS2, specifically due to the MR12 and the smoke mechanics; they’ve made every match much more exciting.”

He expressed interest in fostering amateur competition and a communal LAN environment, stating his goal is to establish a local gaming festival.

“I hope to continue where DreamHack left off in North America. I aspire to create a valuable platform for local gamers, enabling them to connect through participatory events.”
