Astralis have been in a state of flux for a prolonged period, but that era seemed to have ended with the return of Nicolai “device” Reedtz to the active roster at the start of 2025.
The results haven’t picked up as much as expected, however. Astralis’ struggle continues as they have yet to advance to a LAN playoff bracket this year.
Their next opportunity will come at PGL Cluj-Napoca, where they find themselves in the 1-1 pool. After the match against SAW, cadiaN shared his thoughts on their form, strategies, and recent online successes.
“After the second day, you are in the 1-1 pool. Today was a pretty comfortable victory I would say, so how are you feeling about your performances here?” “I think against paiN yesterday, we definitely had our chances on Nuke… However, today we played against SAW, who announced a departure of two players.”
He addressed the confidence gained from playing online qualifiers, noting how each match affects their preparation for bigger tournaments. CadiaN stated that their game style relies heavily on confidence to execute aggressive plays.
“Most playstyles require a bit of confidence… Well, while we haven’t caught up to our peak form yet, things are moving in the right direction.”
Overall, he recognizes the importance of decision-making on their CT sides, indicating that improvement is necessary as they prepare for their upcoming challenges.
