Get Ready to Test Out the Sequel to One of My Favorite Survival RPGs
An invitation for survival game enthusiasts to participate in the upcoming alpha playtest for Outward 2.
An alpha playtest of Outward 2 is scheduled from December 9 to 15.
Many fans of the original Outward, which was released in 2019, appreciated its unique approach to survival, where even simple actions required planning and mindfulness. The sequel aims to bring back that same intensity.
For those excited to experience Outward 2, the playtest will allow players to explore one of the cities, Haboob, and its nearby areas, known as Bellowgale.

In early trials, players have faced significant challenges, such as encountering difficult foes right after beginning their adventures, which aligns with the game’s demanding nature.
Players can sign up for the playtest via the Nine Dots Studio website. Outward 2 is expected to officially release in 2026.
