Charlie Cox Highlights Motion Capture Actor's Role for Game Awards Nomination

Voice actor Charlie Cox expresses that any accolades for his character in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 should go to the motion capture actor.

During a late November event, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 voice actor Charlie Cox emphasized that accolades he might receive for portraying Gustave should be directed to the motion capture actor, Maxence Cazorla. Although nominated at The Game Awards 2025, Cox expressed that his voice acting was merely a component in bringing Gustave’s character to life.

Cox is one of three nominated actors for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, alongside Ben Starr and Jennifer English, for Best Performance at The Game Awards, scheduled for December 11 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Cazorla’s motion capture work significantly defined Gustave’s character in the critically acclaimed game, which already holds multiple awards from the Golden Joystick Awards, including Ultimate Game of the Year.
