Voice Chat Finally Added to Cooperative Shooter FBC Firebreak, New Game Mode Delayed

The cooperative shooter FBC Firebreak receives a long-awaited update with integrated voice chat, though the new game mode has been postponed.

Remedy’s cooperative shooter, FBC: Firebreak, has integrated voice chat after five months of player feedback. This feature is crucial for effective teamwork in the game. While a lack of voice chat was not the most significant issue at launch, it contributed to the game’s lukewarm reception.

In an official Steam update, Remedy announced that all versions now support cross-platform voice communication, allowing gamers to coordinate without needing external apps like Discord. Unfortunately, not all the news is positive. The upcoming major update named Rogue Protocol has been delayed to January 2026 for further development. This mode promises to introduce a new gameplay experience with wave-based survival challenges and unique upgrades.

The delay, while disappointing, aims to ensure the new content is polished and meets player expectations as Remedy continues to support FBC: Firebreak.
