Battlefield 6 has rolled out a feature that allows players to listen to music while playing, but some classic tracks are locked behind a paywall. For $24.99 (or 拢21.99), players can purchase the Battlefield Pro battle pass, granting them access to a radio station dubbed Battlepass Radio. This station boasts iconic tracks from renowned artists such as Bob Dylan, Dr. Dre, Limp Bizkit, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
As players can now access radios in vehicles during gameplay, it adds to the immersion, but the requirement to pay for certain music might draw mixed reactions. Songs by various artists were initially announced as part of the game, but they became available only as part of this paid feature.
Interestingly, while these songs could be streamed for free elsewhere, their exclusivity within the game might tempt players to buy the battle pass. Additionally, owning the Pro pass unlocks benefits like hosting custom matches with 100-player lobbies.

This pricing strategy raises questions about the value players are getting, especially given that access can be limited once the season ends. Future seasons may also bring new music, leading players to reevaluate their subscriptions periodically. However, other free stations still offer some great tracks for those not willing to spend extra.
