Improve Your Gear in Arc Raiders to Avoid Being Ineffective
Explore how weapon upgrades can enhance your gameplay experience in Arc Raiders.
The aim of any extraction shooter like Arc Raiders is to acquire progressively better equipment, yet players often find themselves starting from scratch after losing hard-earned gear. Your initial weapons, such as the Rattler and Kettle, can feel underwhelming.
What if there was an alternative? You don’t have to rely solely on luck or scavenging for better gear. For a minimal cost, you can upgrade your weapons to a higher tier, which can improve their effectiveness, as indicated by the Roman numerals next to their names.
For instance, the basic Rattler can be enhanced to a Rattler II, making it significantly more usable through upgrades that typically involve gathering resources like Mechanical Components.
To begin upgrading, players must first construct the Gunsmith 1 workshop station, requiring 20 Metal Parts and 30 Rubber Parts, which are relatively easy to obtain early in the game. This upgrade path allows players to enhance weapons without the dependence on finding rare attachments.
As players collectively improve their gear, the gameplay experience for everyone gets better since upgraded guns lead to more dynamic encounters.
