An early prototype of the upcoming Pokémon Pokopia has surfaced online, providing insights into a playable version that looks quite different from Nintendo’s showcase.

This prototype showcases gameplay mechanics distinct from the official narrative, allowing players to control a Ditto transformed into a human character capable of learning abilities from other Pokémon. While the game was initially conceived as a successor to Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu with a Nintendo Switch 1 release, it has reportedly undergone significant changes.

In this earlier version developed by Game Freak, players would guide Pokémon in farm-like environments, utilizing pixel art reminiscent of Stardew Valley. Reports suggest the title shifted its development to Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force studio for further enhancements.

This leak feeds the anticipation surrounding Pokémon Pokopia, which is set to feature unique aesthetics and multiplayer gameplay, along with confirmed appearances from various beloved Pokémon like Charmander, Pikachu, and many others.
