The Romanian AWPer’s ten-month stint with OG has come to an end.
MoDo averaged a 1.02 rating during his time with OG.
OG have announced the benching of Mădălin-Andrei “MoDo” Mirea, ending his tenure with the organization. In a statement, OG said MoDo has permission to explore new opportunities.
“We truly appreciate his commitment and hard work during his time with the team,” said OG. “In the weeks ahead, our focus will be on securing the best possible addition to our active roster.”
MoDo posted his thoughts on X shortly after the news broke, expressing gratitude to OG. “Thanks to everyone from OG,” he stated. “It was beautiful to work together. Meanwhile, I will take some time for myself to come back stronger in-game and mentally!”
MoDo joined OG in April last year from TSM, having initially made a name for himself with the national team Nexus in 2023. The 21-year-old faced high expectations as he replaced Iulian “regali” Harjău, but struggled, posting a 1.02 rating during his time with OG.
The team, too, had inconsistent results during his tenure. Their best showing was a second-place finish in Skyesports Masters soon after his joining, followed by a top-four finish in the Thunderpick World Championship 2024. They failed to secure wins in any significant events or qualify for tier-one LANs apart from BLAST Fall Groups 2024.
The current roster for OG includes:
- Maciej “F1KU” Miklas (Poland)
- Olle “spooke” Grundström (Sweden)
- Christian “Buzz” Andersen (Denmark)
- Christoffer “Chr1zN” Storgaard (Denmark)
- Lambert “Lambert” Prigent (France, Coach)
- Mădălin-Andrei “MoDo” Mirea (benched)
