More than just a fleeting interest, Escape From Duckov is making waves in the gaming world.
On October 26, the game hit a remarkable milestone of over 300,000 simultaneous players, based on reports from SteamDB.
Initially perceived by some as a satirical twist on Escape From Tarkov, the game has pleasantly surprised players with its engaging gameplay. Lincoln Carpenter, a news writer for PC Gamer, shared his thoughts after trying the game, stating, “Under its deceptive meme game veneer, Escape From Duckov is an excellent top-down shooter that smartly repackages the extraction shooter in a satisfying single-player format.”
While the single-player approach may seem ironic in a genre centered around player versus player dynamics, Duckov has managed to incorporate a variety of quests and upgrades, essentially merging the extraction shooter style with a roguelite RPG framework. Notably, fishing is also a feature, either loved or loathed by players.
If you’re eager to join the crowd, Escape From Duckov is currently available on Steam at a discounted price of $15.83 until October 29.
