Raven Software Acknowledges Call of Duty: Warzone's Resurgence is Losing Excitement

Raven Software reveals important changes in the upcoming season to revitalize the Resurgence mode in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Raven Software has recently acknowledged that Call of Duty: Warzone’s Resurgence mode has become “a bit stale” in recent times. This statement comes alongside the developer’s commitment to implementing significant changes aimed at revitalizing the Resurgence experience before the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 release.

“Rebirth Island and the broader Resurgence experience have started to feel a bit stale.”
Translation: Raven Software admits the Resurgence mode is lacking excitement.

In announcing these changes, Raven Software highlighted its plans for a complete refresh of Rebirth Island in Season 02. This overhaul will include new points of interest (POIs), a fresh cosmetic pass, and various updates designed to enhance gameplay flow.

Besides this update, the introduction of Haven’s Hollow for Season 1 is expected to add a new layer of excitement. Players have reportedly responded positively to this new map after its preview during the recent Call of Duty: NEXT event.

The studio plans to increase the frequency of updates and balance changes as much as twice per season, ensuring that players remain engaged. Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is on track for its November 14 launch, which is critical for reigniting interest in the franchise amidst ongoing franchise fatigue.
