Summary
Battlefield 6 has quietly nerfed XP bot farming lobbies in a recent update, fulfilling a promise made to the community. The latest update modifies how XP is granted in specific Portal lobbies.
Since launch, players have exploited Battlefield 6’s Portal mode to join bot-filled lobbies, easily defeating them to level up quickly. Although this practice was technically permissible, it wasn’t the intended use of Portal. Last week, the developer announced plans to remove those XP bot farming lobbies.
Nerfing the XP Bot Farming Lobbies
A new update has removed Mastery XP and challenge completions from any Portal lobby with bots active. This change effectively ends bot lobbies, compelling players to return to standard matchmaking to advance their weapons.
The existence of these lobbies underlined the slow progression within Battlefield 6. These lobbies were a community response to an acknowledged issue. With their removal, player progression may become more challenging. Battlefield Studios has indicated that an increase in progression speeds will be on the way, so hopefully, improvements come soon.
The ongoing challenge of balancing a game like Battlefield 6 leads to rapid adjustments. Recent updates, such as those made to enhance gameplay features, have already been influenced by community feedback.
