Delay for Borderlands 4 Update Targeting Infinite-Bleed God-Knife

Upcoming update for Borderlands 4, featuring significant balance changes and performance improvements, has been pushed back to next week.

The Borderlands 4 update, expected to include balance changes and performance fine-tuning, will not be available this week as initially scheduled. Instead, it is set to launch early next week.

“Quick update that our Day 30 Update, which includes balance adjustments, performance and stability improvements, and some new quality-of-life features, will be hitting early next week!” Gearbox said on Steam.

Patch delays generally are not a cause for alarm, especially considering this update’s potential impact on gameplay. Notably, this patch aims to address unintended interactions involving a specific throwing knife that can become overpowered under certain conditions, described by PC Gamer’s Harvey Randall as an “infinite bleed god-knife.”

The update will include adjustments to a range of gear and interactions, as emphasized by Graeme Timmins, who mentioned last week that there would be a “larger” patch coming soon. With this delay, players can enjoy their overpowering shivs for one more weekend before the restriction takes effect.
