Aaron Paul Takes on Video Game Role in Dispatch, Driven by Authentic Script

The Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul embraces his first video game role in 'Dispatch', citing its genuine and poetic script as a key factor.

Aaron Paul, known for his role in Breaking Bad, has taken on a significant challenge by entering the world of video games with his performance in Dispatch, a superhero-themed adventure. In this game, he plays the character Mecha Man, who, having lost his iconic suit, navigates office life alongside former villains.

Paul shared his excitement over a Zoom call, revealing how the script’s raw honesty and poetic nature drew him in. “I’ve been wanting to get into the gaming world for some time,” Paul mentioned. He explained that while he had participated in animated projects before, Dispatch was unique since it presented a compelling narrative in the gaming format.

The game’s development team impressed him with a beautifully animated scene that encapsulated the emotional tone of the gameplay. He emphasized that Dispatch stands out within the saturated superhero genre, combining both humor and genuine human experiences. “It’s not just a fun shoot-’em-up action superhero game. You’re pulled into real-life scenarios within a superhero society,” he remarked.

Moreover, Paul reflected on his personal gaming journey, expressing enthusiasm about someday sharing video games with his kids, echoing the experiences he enjoyed during his own childhood.
