When I leave the house, I have a routine to find my devices: phone, keys, battery pack, etc. But despite my efforts, I still misplace items. That’s where the newly launched Team Group T-Create Expert P34F comes in, featuring built-in location tracking, making it the world’s first external SSD with such technology.
It recently received the Japan Good Design Award 2025, recognizing its innovative design. The SSD, shaped like a padlock, comes in capacities of 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB, and weighs only 70 grams, owing to its 73% zinc alloy construction.
It also includes a keychain hole, USB Type-C port, and the capability to track its location through the Find My app, similar to Apple’s AirTag. Unfortunately for Android users, it appears they won’t have access to this feature.
Additionally, the T-Create Expert P34F has a built-in speaker to help locate it if lost. Its compact size is about that of a credit card, as shown in the provided images.
This external storage is aimed at preventing users from losing it amidst their other devices, which is certainly a relatable concern for many tech enthusiasts. While you might not find it for sale just yet, online speculation suggests it will be available soon from major US retailers.
