After celebrating its fifth birthday last month, Phasmophobia is gearing up for its promising 1.0 launch. The game’s creator, Daniel Knight, shared insights on the upcoming updates aimed at enhancing realism and immersion in gameplay. He mentioned a significant overhaul of character models and animations, enhancing what has been dubbed as the game’s immersion.
“We’re heading towards our 1.0 release, still in early access,” Knight stated. “We’re focusing on realism and plan to reshape all character models and animations to boost immersion.”
Knight recalls how Phasmophobia has evolved to be far more immersive than upon its initial release, despite some nostalgic bugs like hiding behaviors. The game continues to attract attention after selling 20 million copies since launching.
The developers are not looking to restrict players with constant updates and aim to ensure offline gameplay accessibility.
Phasmophobia’s success story continues with a series of updates and events, including special Halloween activities to reward players culminating in this significant milestone.
