Release Date for Elden Ring Nightreign Confirmed as May 30, Priced at $40

The much-anticipated spinoff, Elden Ring Nightreign, is now set to launch this May with an affordable price tag.

Elden Ring Nightreign Release Details

The co-op spinoff, Elden Ring Nightreign, is confirmed to be released on May 30, which is earlier than many expected following its announcement in December. Bandai Namco revealed that the game will be sold for $40—the same price as the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.

Gameplay Overview

Previously, I had the opportunity to play three hours of Nightreign at a preview event. The game feels distinctly different from the sprawling open world of the original Elden Ring, leaning towards a more compact setting focused on combat and structured gameplay rather than open exploration.

In Nightreign, there are four character classes you can choose from:

  1. Wylder: A balanced knight.
  2. Duchess: A rogue reminiscent of characters from Bloodborne.
  3. Recluse: A mage who can absorb enemy magic.
  4. Guardian: A bird-like character specializing in defense.

Expectations for Release

With only Doom: The Dark Ages slated for release in May, Nightreign seems well-positioned in the calendar. There are other titles with TBA dates, but as it stands, the month is likely to be dominated by this game unless unexpected shifts occur.
