The original System Shock 2 from 1999 will be removed from sale on October 10, 2025. According to Nightdive Studios, existing players of the game will still have access to download it, but new users will no longer be able to buy it as a standalone title. However, all current and future purchasers of the recently released 25th Anniversary Remaster will automatically receive the original edition for free.
