Changes to Vehicle Recovery in Dune: Awakening

A new update to Dune: Awakening allows players to recover their vehicles after being swallowed by sandworms.

In a significant update for Dune: Awakening, players will now benefit from a vehicle recovery system introduced in patch 1.2.10.0. This feature allows users to recover vehicles that have been lost forever after being swallowed by sandworms or damaged in combat, although it comes with a cost.

According to Funcom, players can retrieve their vehicles by using a new tool in the game, enabling recovery for a fee. The process sees vehicles being restored to full repair and fuel, albeit at the expense of losing 15% of their maximum repairable durability with each recovery. Additionally, vehicles must be claimed within 72 hours after they are lost, or they will be permanently gone.

This update aims to alleviate frustrations associated with vehicle loss due to glitches or unexpected in-game events, helping players continue their adventures across the unforgiving desert of Arrakis. While the risk of losing vehicles to the game’s hazards remains, this change provides a safety net for players to mitigate the potential fallout.
