The state of Kentucky has officially sued Roblox, alleging that the platform has turned into a “playground for predators who seek to harm our children.” According to Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman, Roblox’s measures do not adequately protect minors.
“Roblox has become a playground for predators who seek to harm our children. The lawsuit we announced today is a major step toward holding this platform accountable for allowing vile content to exist out in the open.”

This legal action follows a similar lawsuit filed by Louisiana just two months prior. Attorney General Liz Murrill stated that the platform poses a significant threat to children, labeling it as “open season for sex predators.”
In its defense, Roblox has reiterated its commitment to safety, claiming to have implemented over 100 safety features in 2025 alone. The company maintains that it actively monitors the platform and continues to innovate to enhance child safety.
The complaint also highlights that various malicious groups can operate on the platform with little oversight, raising concerns about the protective measures in place.
The ongoing discourse around Roblox has sparked significant attention, especially in light of rising concerns regarding child online safety. Both Kentucky’s and Louisiana’s legal moves aim to ensure platforms like Roblox are held accountable for the safety of their young users.
