After conquering the recent community weekend challenge, Gearbox Software has made Amon’s Cult Classic skin accessible to all players of Borderlands 4 via a new code. The SHiFT program by Gearbox has played a significant role for the studio, initially launching back in 2016 with the short-lived Battleborn, and it continues to provide various DLC content for players through to the latest Borderlands 4.
How to Unlock Amon’s Skin
Gearbox has kept up the tradition of providing Golden Keys to Borderlands 4 players through codes shared on social media. The SHiFT codes can be redeemed on the official site, allowing players to boot up the game and claim rewards at major faction towns like The Launchpad and The Lockaway. More than just keys have been handed out through SHiFT, expanding the selection of available content.
This past weekend, players banded together to achieve 300,000 kills against Vault Bosses in Borderlands 4, surpassing the challenge by a large margin, achieving 839,225 kills and unlocking a new skin based on Amon’s origin story short titled ‘Demons’.
The latest giveaway follows a previous challenge where players needed to earn 20 million second winds to unlock the Savings Savior skin, which was surpassed with 23.4 million earned. The community is hopeful of more cosmetic unlocks coming in the future.
In addition to the skin giveaway, Borderlands 4 has recently received its first major balance patch, enhancing several builds while aiming to strengthen underperforming skills. This patch also resolved some ongoing performance issues for PC players, alongside several activity adjustments.
