Release Delayed for Mina the Hollower
Yacht Club Games has postponed the release of Mina the Hollower from its planned launch date on Halloween, aiming for refinements before a new announcement.
Yacht Club Games has announced that Mina the Hollower will not release on Halloween as initially planned. The game’s launch has been pushed back to an indefinite date to allow for additional balance adjustments and tuning before the final release date is determined.
Although originally scheduled to launch on October 31, Yacht Club Games reassured fans that development is nearing completion. The announcement comes just three weeks ahead of the planned release, and while the delay is not extensive, the developer emphasized the need for extra time to implement finishing touches. They will not reveal a new release date until the game is submitted to digital storefronts, and they have requested fans’ patience.
Game Features Mina the Hollower is the next title from Yacht Club Games, creators of the critically acclaimed Shovel Knight. The game adopts an isometric view similar to that found in classic Zelda titles and incorporates elements from the Soulslike genre, both in gameplay and challenge. Players will guide Mina, an anthropomorphic mouse, as she explores Tenebrous Isle and faces off against terrifying foes. Initially revealed as a Kickstarter campaign in 2022, the project garnered over $1.4 million in support.
Final Touches and Localizations Yacht Club Games is finalizing details like audio and visual design and game balancing, along with localizations for different languages. Further rounds of testing and bug fixing will be performed across all platforms targeted for Mina the Hollower’s launch, which includes both current and last-generation consoles.
The developer previously released a limited-time demo for Mina the Hollower on various platforms in June 2025, allowing potential players to experience the game and provide valuable feedback. This delay, in light of the recent successes of other indie games, could work out favorably for Yacht Club Games as they refine the gameplay and integrate user feedback before the official launch.
