Developer Battlestate Games has announced that softcore changes will soon be implemented for Escape From Tarkov. The date for these changes is tentatively set for October 8. While specifics about what these changes will entail are still under wraps, it has been confirmed that the update will include a comprehensive list of alterations.
Earlier this year, Escape From Tarkov declared it would finally exit early access, with a full launch scheduled for November 15, 2025. This significant transition could signal a prominent growth phase for the game, especially with its planned entry onto Steam.
The studio head, Nikita Buyanov, shared insights via a post on X, indicating that this upcoming softcore update is expected to address difficulty levels, especially following the grueling hardcore wipe introduced a few months back, which intensified the challenge for players.
As the release date approaches, Battlestate Games is progressively unveiling further details about what players can anticipate from Escape From Tarkov’s initial full release, including plans for multiple storyline endings, with only a select number of players gaining access to the premier ending. Notably, ongoing updates for the game will continue even after the full launch.
