On October 8, the first anniversary of Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake’s critical acclaim will be observed. Initially introduced in late 2022, the game was identified as a timed PS5 console exclusive.
Silent Hill 2 Remake Website May Hint at New Game Versions
With the PS5 exclusivity ending on October 8, evidence has surfaced on the game’s web page implying the possibility of further ports. According to a Reddit user, the “Buy Now” section currently mentions only Steam and PlayStation Store as platforms, yet contains four columns, two of which are not currently populated with content. This might suggest future versions for Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2 are being planned.

Game Rant has verified these layout anomalies. By using developer tools in modern browsers, users can check out the SH2 website. Earlier cached versions reveal that this four-column structure was present from the start but had gone unnoticed until recently.
Silent Hill 2 Remake is anticipated to be the series’ last timed console exclusive for a while, with potential additional ports being announced soon after October 8, 2025.
Currently, other entries in the franchise are under development: Silent Hill: Townfall and a remake of Silent Hill 1. Specific platforms for these projects have not yet been confirmed.
