The iconic game, Duke Nukem 3D, originally a blend of 3D and flat sprites, is undergoing a major transformation into Voxel Duke Nukem 3D. Created by Dan Peterson, also known as Cheello, this exciting project has been in the works for three years and showcases nearly a thousand voxel models. Peterson, who specializes in voxel technology, previously reimagined classic shooters like Blood: Coagulated and Voxel Doom.
In a YouTube teaser, he shared, “All monsters, babes, props and more have been fully converted to 3D voxel models. Blast your way through the first three original episodes with voxelized assets, creating a modernized feel to Duke like never before.”
