Three Ninja Gaiden Games Exit Xbox Game Pass Today
Xbox Game Pass is set to lose three titles from the Ninja Gaiden series, with their removal bringing the total for the date to six.
Xbox Game Pass Losing Three Ninja Gaiden Games Today
Xbox Game Pass is losing three Ninja Gaiden titles later today, September 30. Their removal will bring the total number of games removed from Xbox Game Pass on September 30 to six.
Throughout the first nine months of 2025, Microsoft followed its regular schedule, eliminating titles from Xbox Game Pass bi-weekly. The last removal happened on September 15, when the service lost All You Need is Help, Wargroove 2, and We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie. Now, three more are set to depart.
The departing titles on September 30 include Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. All three games are part of the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection, released originally for PC and consoles in June 2021. This collection has been available on Xbox Game Pass since June 2022, and it has remained longer than most third-party releases.
Xbox Game Pass Titles Leaving September 30, 2025
Game | Added | Platforms | Time to Complete |
---|---|---|---|
Ninja Gaiden Sigma | Jun 2022 | Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Cloud | 13–30 hours |
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 | Jun 2022 | Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC | 11–87 hours |
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge | Jun 2022 | Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC | 7–34 hours |
Initially, Terra Invicta, a PC-only 4X strategy game currently in early access, was also slated for removal. However, Microsoft later retracted this decision, leading to a very unusual reduction in the list of games leaving Xbox Game Pass. Whether this change results from an error or a last-minute licensing deal extending the game’s availability remains unknown. In the event that it was an error, Terra Invicta may indeed leave the service in the not-so-distant future.
Ninja Gaiden Franchise Return to Xbox Game Pass in October 2025
While the subscription service is losing three Ninja Gaiden games soon, it is also set to gain a new entry: Ninja Gaiden 4 will be available on Xbox Game Pass on October 21 as a day-one title for PC Game Pass and XGP Ultimate subscribers. This addition falls within the Wave 2 line-up for October, which will also include Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault and Bounty Star on October 23.
The next wave of removals is anticipated around October 16, likely to be announced about a week prior, around October 7, based on Microsoft’s recent communication trends. That is the same date when Little Rocket Lab and Sopa - Tale of the Stolen Potato are set to join Xbox Game Pass.
