Skyrim Grandma Announces Her Retirement Again

Shirley Curry, known as the Skyrim Grandma, has decided to retire from making Skyrim videos once again, citing a lack of enjoyment.

The beloved Skyrim Grandma, Shirley Curry, has announced her decision to retire from creating videos related to The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim once more. This decision has saddened many fans who follow her channel. Curry expressed that she feels exhausted and no longer finds joy in creating content related to Skyrim.

In her latest video, she opened up about her exhaustion with producing Skyrim gameplay videos, stating that she’s “not having fun anymore.” Curry mentioned that her viewer demographics have shifted significantly, with a lot of her current audience being young kids who do not engage with her content in the same way her older viewers did. Despite stepping away from gameplay videos, she plans to stay connected with her community through occasional vlogs.

This is not the first instance of Curry retiring; she initially attempted to take a break from her channel last year due to burnout. Earlier this year, she returned to create videos, including ones for Oblivion Remastered, but couldn’t sustain that momentum. Although it’s unclear whether she’ll revisit Skyrim content in the future, her impact and legacy within the Elder Scrolls community remain significant.

Moreover, fans have even petitioned to include her character in Elder Scrolls 6, leading to official confirmation from Bethesda that she will appear as an NPC in the upcoming game, further solidifying her place in gaming history.
