Forza Horizon 6: Developers Draw Inspiration from Road Trips and Hot Wheels DLC

The upcoming racing title Forza Horizon 6 promises an immersive experience set in Japan, shaped by key learnings from previous game installments.

The next installment of the Forza series, Horizon 6, is set in Japan. The Playground Games team revealed their extensive preparation for this new setting, drawing inspiration from past titles, notably the Hot Wheels DLC for Horizon 5.

In an interview with GamesRadar, Don Arceta emphasized the importance of adopting innovative techniques developed during the Hot Wheels expansion, which assisted in creating authentic elevated road designs in the virtual Tokyo.

Arceta stated, “With Xbox Series X technology, we’re confident in delivering a rich experience for players as we’ve incorporated lessons learned from previous iterations.”

Kyoko Yamashita, who assisted with cultural insights, reflected on the need for authenticity, emphasizing the numerous details that enrich the player experience. “The team aimed for an immersive world, rather than just a scenic backdrop; every choice contributes to a believable environment.”
